My office looks as if a storm has blown through here. I know that if I don’t declutter my physical space that my mental space will remain cluttered and prevent my from writing. I have a small folding table that has been one of the piling areas in my office. What exactly does that mean? Give me a clear area on any surface and “STUFF,” gets piled onto it. What kind of stuff you may be asking? Books, pens, papers, magazines, plastic bins; filled and unfilled, plastic bags, paper bags, wires, and on I can go. Step 1: My intention today is to declutter that small folding table. Step 2: Is to either put that stuff where it belongs or toss it into the garbage. Step 3: Remove that small folding table from this office/crafting room. I will check back with you and let you know if I accomplished that mission.
I know that when this process begins and gets completed, my mind will follow. I will be able to start writing once again which has been on hold. My mental clutter will start to get more clarity. I know this from years of practice. If I can do it, so can you.
Share your decluttering project. Love hearing from you.
